that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person or

At Overhex Wines International (Pty) Ltd, we take data and information privacy seriously. We are
committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure your personal information is collected and used
properly, lawfully and transparently in accordance with the POPI Act. We respect our clients, visitors,
service providers and other business partners, and value the trust they place in us to process their
personal information.
The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company.
The term “you” refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.
By accessing our Site or Service, you accept our Privacy Policy, and you consent to our collection, storage,
use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Notice.
Who we are
Overhex Wines International (Pty) Ltd is a company specialising in production and distribution of wine and
related products and services.
What we collect
Non-Personal Information – includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as
anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs,
platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit
and number of clicks.
Personal Information – is information we collect directly from you where you provide us with your personal
details, for example when you purchase products or services from us or when you submit enquiries to us
or contact us. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us by
law (mandatory) and what information is optional (voluntary). With your consent, we may also
supplement the personal information you provide to us with information we receive from other
companies and service providers, as well as any personal information you deliberately make public.
The type of information we collect will depend on the purpose for which it is collected and used. We will
only collect information we need for that purpose.
In this Privacy Notice, personal information refers to the type of personal information that may be
collected and used, including, but not limited to:
• Contact details, such as name, email address, postal address and telephone number
• Payment information, such as bank account details / credit card details
• Comments, feedback, posts and other content submitted, including survey information
• Interests and communication preferences including marketing permissions where appropriate
• Identity verifying information, such as national identification number or passport details where
applicable

• Any Other personal information deemed necessary in order to comply with legal, legitimate and
business-related purposes
Sensitive personal information – If collecting or storing sensitive personal information, such as information
relating to health or biometric information such as photographs, we will ask for your explicit consent.
However, there are some limited situations where this will not occur if this information is required by law
or regulatory body.
Children’s personal information – The site and services offered are not directed to anyone under the age
of 13. The site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13 or allow
anyone under the age of 13 to sign up for the services. In the event that we learn we have gathered
personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we

Non-Personal – in general, this information is used to help us improve the services offered and customise
the user experience. We may also aggregate this information to track trends and analyse use patterns on
our site. This Privacy Notice does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of this information and we
reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our business partners and other
third parties at our discretion.
Personal Information – Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Notice, we do not sell, trade, rent or
otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your
consent. We do share Personal Information with service providers who are performing services for the
Company, and those service providers use your Personal Information only at our direction and in
accordance with our Privacy Notice.
In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used only for the purposes for which it was

• To respond to enquiries regarding our services and products

Privacy Notice. If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy
changes to the site so that you may opt out of the new information practices if you so wish. We suggest

Ongoing Services
We would like to use your information to keep you informed about other services which may be added to
our portfolio of offerings, and which may be of particular interest to you. However, you have the right at

Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate, we may continue to send you

Information security
We are legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the personal information we hold and to stop
unauthorised access and use of personal information. We will, on an ongoing basis, continue to review
our security controls and related processes to ensure your personal information is secure.
We use a variety of physical and technical measures to keep personal information safe and prevent
unauthorised access to or use or disclosure of it. Electronic data and databases are stored on secure
computer systems with control over access to information using both physical and electronic means. Our
staff receive data protection training and there is a set of detailed security and data protection policies
which staff are required to follow when handling personal information.
While we take all reasonable steps to ensure personal information will be kept secure from unauthorised
access, we cannot guarantee it will be secure during transmission by you to a website or other services,
as we do not control that transmission.
When we contract with third parties, we impose appropriate security, privacy and confidentiality
obligations on them to ensure that personal information we remain responsible for is kept secure.
We may need to transfer your personal information to another country for processing or storage. We put
in place appropriate protection to ensure your personal information remains adequately protected and is

How long is information kept

- All wines are sold by the bottle, unless otherwise indicated.

3. Delivery
Wine Cellar delivers nationwide and offers free delivery on wine orders over R1,000. This also excludes next-day delivery to Johannesburg.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is entered correctly.
